Dinner Munchabout is a human (pity) wizard from Frostopolis, and one of the Heroes of Yearth. He is the apprentice and Squire of Lexicon the Magnificent, Champion and Lord of Frostpolis. He lives in a musty-smelling apartment with a mangey, one-eyed pet wolf named Therapy Dog.
Dinner looks exactly like John Cusack in his role as Clay Riddell in the 2016 film Cell. He always wears a backpack full of “everyday carry” items, including a gun. As a pity wizard, he is able to magically amplify his own sadness to make others sad and pity him. He is also able to form his tears into bullets by crying into his gun. His nipples are sometimes prone to eczema.
Before the Solstice Games[]
Dinner was the apprentice to Lexicon the Magnificent and previously married, but his wife left him after he made one too many expensive and frivolous purchases - in this case a dining table with a layer of glow-in-the-dark resin. He got to choose what he kept for his apartment, including the table (without chairs), some whiskey stones, a Dyson vacuum cleaner and a wall full of board games.
Season 1[]
Dinner attends the Solstice Games in Frostopolis as Lexicon’s Squire, but falls over immediately when they enter the arena and spends most of the ensuing battle with the possessed guards on his back. He joins the others when Celestia pauses to survey the world, and after she leaves invites them back to his apartment. Lexicon comes looking for a place to hide, chased by “emo cultists” - worshippers of Celestia. Lexicon opens a portal to the cabin of his “scriptwriting teacher”, the mage Nilmeyer; Dinner has met him before and is reluctant to go. But he joins the others, including Therapy Dog, as they go through the portal.
