Description[]
A lost diplomat! A mysterious bard! More songs than are strictly necessary!
Synopsis[]
They arrive at the refuge in Hestavar to visit Mother Bullmoose, a superior priestess who Bethanee is to report to. The party all meet Mother Bullmoose. She sends Freezo away to the room of trials to be tested before he can continue with Bethanee. Bethanee declares that Bethanee’s Godsquest begins today. The first task is checking on Helian, an emissary to Elvandor who has not checked in for 5 days.
To help Bethanee they are assisted by Pristina Caulk, a blue skinned elf with regular sized bosoms who is one of the Dolphin Prince’s emissary. Mother Bullmoose gives the party a chit to get supplies from Quartermaster Orrix and a sending stone to communicate with Helian. They have a group hug before they depart.
Bushu and Pristina sing songs to each other before they head off to their bedrooms. They share rooms with Kit and Bethanee sharing one room and Bushu and Pristina sharing the other.
In the morning they head to the Quartermaster Orrix for an adventure bag. Bethanee wishes the Orrix a good day and promises to send him a postcard. Pristina sings a love song to Bushu again gaining a potion of restoration from the impressed quartermaster. Kit Gingerson interrogates Bushu about the night with Pristina. Bushu states that he lied awake in fear of being ambushed in the night. Kit also says he understands that Bushu and Freezo are lovers. Bushu strongly denies this once again.
They arrive at the banks of the lake and they jump on the folding long boat. Pristina uses her Lute to make the boat motor along towards Elvindar. Pristina states she was raised in the swamp and not the sea which makes her quite embarrassed. Kit sings a love song for Bushu and Freezo.
They arrive at the court of the Dolphin Prince. Pristina lays down the ground rules for meeting the Dolphin Prince. She advises them not to look at the blowhole and to look at one eye or the other, not in the gap between the eyes. Kit and Bethanee flawlessly introduce themselves to the Dolphin Prince. They make enquiries about Helian Helios. He was last seen by a nearby cliff. Pristina asks for to be stationed in the sea. After her song fails to convince the Dolphin Prince they exit hastily.
Pristina calls the Dolphin Prince a Bleepdorp. Dane, a emissary of the reefmother guides them to the last place Helian was seen painting by the cliff face. Bethanee finds an easel in the long grass. He has drawn cracks in the side of the cliff. Pristina dives down the cliffs into the waves and sees the giant crack in the cliff. She talks to some fish to find out more information. They have seen two dark fishy people take a pink person through a crack halfway in the mountain. After the bard sings a song to them it’s revealed that the dark ones are “Sauhagin”.
Bushu uses Featherfall for them to gently fall into the crack in the cliff. Sharks approach and Bethanee sends a boat down to keep Pristina safe. She sends a rope down so Kit can extort Pristina. Kit feels put-out by Pristina and asks Pristina to apologise to the rope. Pristina sings a song of apology to the rope.
They climb into the pitch-black cave before they come across two Suahagin. Pristina reads their thoughts as Bethanee tries to communicate with her hands the group's aim to retrieve Helian. The Sauhagin misinterpret this as a threat to end their lives and attack.
They all attack and with some Bardic inspiration from Pristina the party easily defeats one of the Sauhagin while the other dives into the lake. Kit dives into the lake after the Sauhagin and gets trapped in the seaweed. Bethanee (wearing chainmail) dives in after Kit and sinks to the bottom of the lake. Pristina dives in, removes the chainmail before helping Bethanee swim back to the surface.
Pristina comments on the large temple she saw under the water. They use the sending stone to talk to Helian Helios. He is being held underwater in a room with four walls and no windows. Bushu transforms into a fish dragon and swims back down with Pristina. They sneak down and swim over the gate and enter what was once a stable that is now being used as a prison. They find and free Helian. They’re cornered by Sauhagin. Bushu grabs Helian and runs away while Pristina fights the Sauhagin. Pristina attempts to use her motorised Lute to get away, she crashes into a wall and is taken captive by the Sauhagin.

Songs[]
Tom Cardy was the guest on this episode playing the bard Pristina Caulk. As such there was a gluttony of songs in this episode.
Pristina’s Song for Bushu:
- Bushu, I love you too
- And if maybe, we could be one but two
- My Bushu
Bushu’s Rap:
- Pristina,
- You like walk up and down the street
- On your feet
- It’s nice to meet you
- Do you think, you could write me another song
- Another time
- Maybe later?
- Ok
- Bushu Out
Pristina’s second song for Bushu:
- There’s only one man who gets me
- His name is Bushu
- There’s only one man who likes me.
- His name is Bushu
- I like him too, and I like him through and through
- Cause his name is Bushu
Kit's Song:
- The gentle touch of a lovers hand,
- Can do a lot to soothe a man
- A man whose grumpy does not like to be touched.
- Not much, no not much.
- It just takes that special fellow
- To make a harsh man mellow
- The gentle touch, of a loving hand
Pristina’s Song for The Dolphin Prince:
- Being one can take its role
- I love my god and I love his blowhole
- Eating fish and eating it fast.
- Now everyone, have a dance
Pristina’s song to the fish:
- Fishy little fishy can’t you see
- I just want you to help me
- Tell me about the murderous things
- That live below the sea, below the sea
- Tell me, Please
- Sorry to a Rope
- The world is flat
- And I’m okay with that.
- And then I’m told
- Someone said nope
- And I’m sorry to a rope
- And now we don’t have boat
- Because of this big cat
Bardic inspiration:
- You’re a cat
- Fancy that.
- It’s taken a toll.
- And your best friends won’t even touch
- Your butthole
